Mille Miglia North America Tribute

Everything is ready for the Mille Miglia North America Tribute, to be held from October 25 to 29, 2011. The tribute, America’s way of honoring the Mille Miglia legend, is the only authorized event that can use the Mille Miglia trademark and name in the United States. It was born to pay homage to the spirit and the emotions of the Italian race, so famous across the world, which has always had a great number of cars and drivers coming from the American continents. The route is to be the traditional one thousand miles, and will wind along a picturesque route that is characteristic of the West Coast, crossing Santa Barbara, Carmel, San Francisco and Monterey. Hospitality villages and moments of encounter will be set up along the road. The Mille Miglia North America Tribute will also host "Drive Away Cancer" , a movement born of the idea by classic car driver, John Nikas. Nikas will participate in the Tribute in his 1953 Austin Healey called Grace, a rolling memorial to the fight against cancer, to tenacity, to hope.

The extraordinary classic car jewels participating in the Tribute will also be competing in the 25th Annual Concours d’Elegance to be held in Santa Barbara, on Saturday, October 29. Those who take part in the Mille Miglia North America Tribute will have another treat in store: among the cars that are eligible for the Mille Miglia, 5 places will be drawn to allow them to experience the Mille Miglia 2012 live, as participants.
