My vote goes for the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
This seventh-generation Corvette starts at a measly $50,595. Some say it is the best vehicle made in America right now.
The 6.2-liter V-8 has ample power — and a zero-to-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds. The C7’s seven-speed manual gearbox lets the driver make the most of it’s out-of-the-box 455 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
When not ripping up asphalt, the newest Corvette gets a stingy 29 mpg on the highway (a system deactivates four of its eight cylinders at cruising speeds).
Inside, the cabin is a marked improvement over the prior-gen C6 interior.
The handling is wickedly supreme, rivaling anything I’ve driven that’s street legal out of the box.
